APHL 2020 will be held at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, OR from June 8-11, 2020. The meeting will consist of a member assembly, keynote session, plenary and breakout sessions, roundtables, posters, Innovate! sessions and exhibits all over the course of four days.
This year’s meeting will discuss issues ranging from environmental issues to emerging infectious diseases and emergency preparedness, from informatics to food safety, newborn screening and global health.
APHL 2020 is the APHL annual membership meeting. Attendees include state, county, city and local public health lab directors, environmental and agricultural lab directors, senior laboratory staff, government and private laboratory personnel, and others interested in laboratory issues.
APHL 2020 will be preceded by four pre-conference workshops on Monday morning, June 8. Registration is separate and details will follow.

APHL is an approved provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences through the American Society of Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) P.A.C.E.® program. Attendees have the opportunity to earn up to 12.5 contact hours by attending the entire conference. Attendance rosters must be signed for each attended session for which credit is requested and the P.A.C.E.® certificate must be signed and certified by APHL staff at the registration booth at the end of your time at the conference.Hotel

The meeting will begin on Monday, June 8 at 1:00pm and conclude on Thursday, June 11 at 11:30am. There will be four pre-conference workshops on Monday morning, June 8 from 8:00am-11:30am. Please plan your arrival and departure times accordingly.
Portland International Airport (PDX) is serviced by all major airlines. It is 15-20 minutes to the hotel. The hotel does NOT provide complimentary shuttle to/from the airport. It is, however, on the Tri Met Max/Light Rail (RED) line. 10 stops (Convention Center) will bring you to the hotel and convention center. Cost is approximately $2.50. Shuttles, taxis and Uber/Lyft are also available to the hotel.
