We have switched to a webinar format starting January 17, 2012.
1:00 - 2:00 PM (EST)
February 26, 2012
There is a lot of confusion about the terms validation and verification and what studies need to be done before implementing an FDA-approved/cleared or laboratory-developed molecular test in a clinical laboratory. This teleconference will review the requirements as defined by CLIA and describe methods for carrying out and evaluating the required studies.
At the conclusion of this program, the participant will be able to:
- Differentiate the terms validation and verification.
- Identify the studies that need to be done in a clinical laboratory before implementation of an FDA-approved/cleared or laboratory-developed molecular test as required by CLIA.
Eileen M. Burd, PhD, D(ABMM),
Director, Clinical Microbiology, Emory University Hospital
